11 Jul 2008Keys to good health and happiness revealed

With its focus on the keys to preventing some of today’s major illnesses, the Natural Health Society’s Annual Natural Health Seminar last month was given a big thumbs up.
During the one-day event, expert speakers presented compelling information on the use of natural health methods in the fight against allergies and food intolerances, breast cancer and depression.
Equally absorbing were presentations on the use of hair analysis to reveal levels of minerals and toxins, and the myths and misconceptions surrounding the household cleaning and skin care industry.
The Seminar boasted a line-up of speakers that included breast cancer survivor and founder of the Asher Institute of Integrative Medicine,Michelle Richmond; qualified social worker and psychologist, Kate Alessia; internationally renowned speaker and founder of the Sydney wholistic pathology laboratory Australian Biologics, Jennie Burke; the technical and research director for InterClinical Laboratories, Zac Bobrov; and the General Manager of Tri Nature (manufacturers of a range of environmentally-friendly products), TraceyFreinberger,
The Society’s Business Manager, Donna Gersbach, said feedback from seminar attendees highlighted the importance of providing people with high quality, practical information to help them take control of their own health and prevent illness.
“Those present on the day had a hunger for credible information on health issues presented in a manner that was engaging and easy to understand,” Ms Gersbach said.
“One of the great benefits of the day was that people were able to go away armed with practical steps they could take in their everyday lives to help them enjoy good health and happiness.
“This has long been the focus of the Society’s seminars and will continue to be so in the future.”
Summaries of the presentations at this year’s seminar will be published in the Spring issue of the Society’s magazine, Natural Health and Vegetarian Life, due out at the beginning of September.
