Lauren is a qualified naturopath and the founder of Kiyah Wellness, an Australia-wide telehealth practice specialising in gut health. May 13, Tuesday at 7.30pm. Camilla Brinkworth. Thriving whilst plant-based, with an in-depth look at omega nutrition.

Camilla is a degree-qualified naturopath, nutritionist and medical herbalist with a passion for sustainable living. Having read every book she could get her hands on about plant-based nutrition, when she first discovered Ahiflower she felt like she had discovered buried treasure, and made it her mission to share it with Australia & New Zealand. This led to her co-founding PhytoLove

Camilla reversed the arthritis she developed at 19 years old when she switched over to a whole food plant-based diet, and she never looked back. Since she saw such improvements to her own health, she spreads this message as far and wide as possible and learned everything she could so she could to assist others in living their happiest and healthiest lives. In her spare time she spends time in nature, eating amazing food with close friends and cuddling dogs.

May 20, Tuesday at 7.30pm. Ally Sanchez. The Power of Food: A Nutrigenomics Lens on Wholefood Plantbased Eating.

Ally Sanchez is a  Herbalist and Nutritionist with 20 years of clinical experience. Ally is a cancer survivor and has a deep knowledge of herbal therapeutics, juicing and fasting therapy.

Ally Sanchez’s presentations are always filled with passion, great information and the wisdom of lived experience. In her presentation, Ally will provide details on the science of nutrition, but also provide practical advice that you can implement straight away to improve your health. We look forward to learning from Ally and hearing her holistic take on the science of nutrigenomics.

May 27, Tuesday at 7.30pm. Hedda Koenig Mindfulness – what it is, why we need it and how to practise it.

Hedda is a Perth-based Yoga & Mindfulness teacher and Health & Wellbeing coach. A dedicated yogi since 2012, she began teaching in 2019, sharing her practice in diverse settings—from festivals to Sailing Clubs, corporate programs like Qantas and her ‘Minefulness’ initiative for the Mining sector. She focuses on inclusion, creating community and simplicity covering any age group, to make mindfulness as inspirational and accessible as possible for everyone.
Since 2022, Hedda has led free weekly ‘Sunrise Saturday’ meditations in Fremantle as part of meditationHQ, WA’s only hub of the Sydney-based NFP. Some of you may have read Hedda’s article on her great work with not-for-profit MeditationHQ in our autumn edition of True Natural Health magazine.

In this session, Hedda will talk about the importance of mindfulness from a practical and evidence-based perspective. We are going to hear tips on starting and maintaining a mindfulness practice. We will also enjoy a guided mindfulness session together.

June 5, Thursday  at 9am  Victoria Moran Age Like a Yogi: A Heavenly Path to a Dazzling Third Act

Victoria Moran is a force of nature. At 14, with credentials from a teen magazine, she attended her first Beatles press conference. She’s been surprising herself ever since. Victoria went Vegan in 1983; overcame a binge-eating disorder; in 1985 wrote Compassion the Ultimate Ethic, the first book about Vegan philosophy and practice to come from an actual publisher. Since then she has raised a Vegan daughter (aerialist and stunt performer, Adair Moran), written 14 books and appeared twice on Oprah.

Her books, including Age Like a Yogi, Main Street Vegan, Creating a Charmed Life, Shelter for the Spirit, and The Love-Powered Diet have been praised by Neal Barnard, MD, Ellen Degeneres, musician Moby, filmmaker Michael Moore, Dean Ornish, MD, Marianne Williamson, and former President Bill Clinton.

She was voted Peta’s Sexiest Vegan Over 50 in 2016, and was the lead producer of the 2019 documentary A Prayer for Compassion, about spirituality and food choices. She hosts the award-winning Main Street Vegan Podcast and is a 2024 inductee into the Vegan Hall of Fame.

Drawing on decades of experience, Victoria will discuss the topic of her last book ‘Age Like a Yogi: A Heavenly Path to a Dazzling Third Act’ which discusses the practical wisdom of yoga, the youth-preserving secrets of ayurveda (yoga’s sister science), and the life-enhancing power of ahimsa, living gently, to create peace, pizzazz and vitality in every decade.
