Apple and Almond Delight

A mouth-watering dessert that’s sure to be a hit with the family, whether served hot or cold.


  • Cooking apples: 4
  • Eggs: 2
  • Cloves or grated lemon rind: 1 or 2
  • Black sugar: 3 tbs
  • Ground almonds: 100g
  • Unsalted butter: 1 tbs
  • Honey: To taste

Procedure :

Preheat oven to 1800C.

Cook apples with honey and cloves or rind. Place in greased ovenproof dish. Beat butter and sugar; add half the ground almonds and mix, then remaining almonds and egg. Beat until smooth. Spread onto apple.

Bake until set, approx. 15-20 minutes.

Note: Black sugar can be purchased at most health food shops. However, if you wish, you can replace it with brown or dark brown sugar.
